At the opening ceremony of the ILA Nigeria 9th Annual Conference on April 13, 2026, the President of the branch welcomed participants to the event, which is centered on the theme: "Mitigating Economic and Financial Crime Risk in a Shifting Global Order: The Role of International Law" (0:00-0:20). Highlighting Nigeria's growing stature as a hub for the study and development of international law, the President emphasized the importance of the conference as a platform for exchanging ideas on current trends, while also acknowledging the contributions of distinguished guests, partners, and the organizing committee to the event's success

ILA NIGERIA AND NILDS SIGN MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
President of the International Law Association-Nigerian Branch, Professor Damilola S. Olawuyi, SAN, FCIArb, paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of the National Institute For Legislative and Democratic Studies, Professor Abubakar O. Sulaiman. The visit also included the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the two institutions to advance training and capacity development on international law and diplomacy.
