DESCRIPTION:THEME: THE ROLE OF INTERNATIONAL LAW IN THE REGULATION OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES \n\nThe aim of this conference is to examine the role of international law in regulating new technologies\, such as artificial intelligence\, blockchain\, cloud computing\, big data\, and social media amongst others\, as well as the challenges that arise from their use. The conference will provide a platform for international lawyers to discuss\, explore and clarify the regulation of new technologies at national\, regional\, and global levels\, in a manner that does not negatively impact international economic relations and sustainable development. The conference will feature a distinguished keynote lecture by a preeminent international law expert\, followed by panel discussions by leading practitioners on how multinational technology platforms can be effectively regulated. Our objective is to attract participants from all across Nigeria and from as many regions of the world as practically possible to examine and discuss these issues.
